Use My Account Taxes when your withholding or W-2 delivery preference changes.
This form saves a dated tax profile, so the effective date matters.
Quick facts
Start here
- The tax form saves a new profile instead of silently overwriting payroll history.
- Electronic W-2 delivery must be enabled before the paystubs tab can offer W-2 downloads.
- If you are unsure what to enter, pause and ask a payroll professional instead of guessing.
Step 1: Open the tax form and review the current profile
Start from the taxes tab
Open My Account Taxes.
Read the current filing status, multiple-jobs choice, and extra withholding before you make a change.
- 1 Review the current payroll details and W-4 section before you save a new profile.
- 2 Use the effective date that should control payroll going forward.
- 3 Save only after the federal and Arizona sections both reflect the change you intend.
Step 2: Save a dated change you can explain later
- Use the effective date that should control payroll going forward.
- If you turn on exempt or zero withholding, read the surrounding fields carefully so you do not leave conflicting values behind.
- Save the profile only after the federal and Arizona sections both look right.
Step 3: Turn electronic W-2 delivery on if you want downloads
Use the W-2 delivery preference in the taxes tab when you want the paystubs area to offer downloadable copies.
If electronic delivery is off, the W-2 preview can still show payroll information, but the download link will stay unavailable.
- 1 Turn on electronic W-2 delivery here before expecting downloads in the paystubs tab.
- 2 Save the tax profile after you update the W-2 delivery choice.
