Use Courses for structured learning with videos and quizzes. Use Progress to see what you or your team have completed. If you have access, use Training Settings to organize modules and maintain course content.
Courses are sequenced learning. For searchable procedures and internal reference material, use Guides and see how to create and organize internal guides.
Quick facts
Start here
- Courses are grouped under modules and ordered within each module. Complete the previous course in a module before starting the next one.
- A course is complete when its required video and quiz work is complete. Courses without a video or quiz do not require that step.
- Managers can review a team summary and update staff completion or review flags from the Progress page.
Step 1: Organize modules and course content
If Training Settings is available to your role, create modules with a name and short description, then put them in the order learners should see. Expand a module to add or edit its courses and reorder the course list.
For each course, add a title and description. Add a YouTube video when the lesson needs one. Turn on the quiz option when a learner must pass a quiz, then set the passing score and add questions with answer choices. Save the course after editing.
- Keep each module focused on one topic or job so its course order is easy to follow.
- Check a module and its courses before deleting it; deleting a module also removes its courses.
Step 2: Complete a course as a learner
Open Courses, choose a module, and start the first available course. If a later course is locked, finish the previous course in that module first.
Watch the lesson video and use Mark Video Watched if it has not updated yet. When a quiz is required, choose Take Quiz, answer each question, and submit it. A passing result completes the quiz requirement; if you do not pass, review the lesson and retake the quiz.
Step 3: Check your progress or review the team
Open Progress to see completed courses and modules. Managers can use Team Summary or search for a staff member to review their progress in detail.
When a manager verifies a course outside Farin, the learner progress table includes controls for video watched, quiz passed, manager reviewed, and can teach. Update only the statuses your team has actually confirmed.
Use the right learning space
Use Courses when learners need ordered lessons and tracked completion. Use internal guides for searchable how-to material, or the knowledge assistant to find answers from those guides. For a practice workspace used in a walkthrough, see Demo Mode for training and sales walkthroughs.
