Use Menus to prepare a printable menu or adjust how items appear at a selected location. Use TV Displays to design and assign a digital menu scene. These are presentation workflows; create and organize the source items in Catalog settings first.
If you are pairing a new Raspberry Pi screen, follow Set up a Raspberry Pi TV display for the device setup. This guide covers the menu content and scene after the screen is ready.
Quick facts
Start here
- Print options are saved for the selected location and can include categories, text promos, cover details, print style, and sold-out items.
- The Menu Editor can set location-specific visibility, availability, and retail prices for menu items.
- TV scenes can show a menu alone or combine a menu with a promo; preview a scene and assign it to the intended display.
Prepare a printable menu
Choose a location and content
Open Menus and choose Print Options. Select the location, then include only the categories customers should see in this printout.
Drag categories and text promos into the order you want them printed. Open a category to add short list or paragraph notes above or below its items.
Review the cover and print settings
Add optional cover text, location contact details, and a footer note. Choose color or grayscale and decide whether sold-out items should appear.
Select Download Print PDF and review the generated file before printing. The options save for the selected location, so check the selected location when preparing another version.
Edit the menu for a location
Choose Menu Editor to search categories and items. Rename a displayed category or item when the customer-facing menu needs a clearer label.
Open Locations on an item to adjust its location-specific price, visibility, stock state, or variant prices. These controls affect that location; review the selected location before saving an override.
For new products, category organization, modifiers, and checkout rules, use Set up catalogs and products for online ordering.
Build and assign a TV menu scene
Create the scene
Open TV Displays, choose Scenes, then select New Scene. Give it a recognizable name, choose Menu Only or Menu + Promo, and set the screen type and design.
Add the categories and, if needed, a promo. Use the scene preview to check the layout before saving changes.
Assign the scene to a display
In the scene’s Assigned to Devices area, choose the display that should show it and save the scene. Confirm that the device is online and the scene is active.
Keep device registration and remote hardware setup in the Raspberry Pi display guide.
