Forms should do more than render. Open Website Forms to define where submissions go, what the submitter receives, and how the team follows up.
Use one form key per purpose—such as catering-inquiry, wholesale-conversation, or newsletter-signup—so reports and automated replies stay understandable.
Quick facts
Start here
- The form key is an internal identifier, not a value customers need to understand.
- Tenant notifications and submitter confirmations are configured separately.
- Use branded templates with a clear next step and realistic response time.
- Test the full flow with a real email address before promoting the form.
Step 1: Configure recipients and confirmations
- Add the tenant email addresses that should receive each submission. Use a shared inbox for continuity rather than a single person’s address.
- Turn on the submitter email only when the form collects an email address and the confirmation adds value.
- Keep confirmation copy short: acknowledge receipt, explain the next step, and provide a direct contact method for urgent requests.
- 1 Forms opens the tenant-scoped submission and notification settings.
- 2 The Forms panel gives you one place to configure form behavior and follow-up.
- 3 Edit each embedded form’s questions, tenant notifications, and automatic reply separately.
- 4 Review recent submissions here after a customer sends a form.
Step 2: Match the form to the sales funnel
- For catering, ask event date, time, headcount, fulfillment method, and dietary needs only when relevant.
- For wholesale, ask for the business, location, product interest, and expected order cadence. Reassure the buyer that the team will help them get started.
- For newsletter signup, ask only for the email address and keep the value proposition visible near the submit button.
Step 3: Test and monitor
- Submit each form from a private browser window and confirm the tenant recipient receives the complete data.
- Confirm the submitter receives the branded message only once.
- If a delivery fails, review the saved recipient addresses and template status before changing the public page.
- Keep a simple response owner and follow-up expectation in the email body so leads do not disappear into an inbox.
