Use Ingredient Export when you need a spreadsheet of active production ingredients, their recorded order history, and current vendor pricing.
The export follows the filters on the page. Use it to prepare a purchasing comparison, then verify a candidate price in Compare Vendors or the ingredient detail page.
Quick facts
Start here
- The table includes active ingredient records, order counts and quantities, last ordered date, best vendor and pack, prices, and a price column for each listed vendor.
- Use Search ingredients, the Ordered only switch, and the Pricing filter to narrow the rows.
- Sort by total spend, order count, quantity, last ordered, lowest current price, or ingredient name before exporting.
- The CSV contains the filtered rows shown in the table. It does not change vendor pricing or create an order.
- Treat Total Spend as a rough prioritization figure, not as an accounting total or spend reconciliation.
Step 1: Filter the ingredient list
Open Ingredient Export. Search by ingredient name, turn on Ordered only to focus on items with order history, and choose All ingredients, With current pricing, or Without current pricing.
Choose a sort order that matches the review, such as Most commonly ordered for recurring purchases or Lowest current price for an initial price scan. The page shows how many rows match.
Step 2: Check the comparison columns
Review the ingredient, orders, total quantity, last ordered date, best vendor and pack, best price, and the individual vendor price columns. Standardized per-unit prices help compare different pack sizes.
Use order history to decide which items deserve attention, then check pack and unit details before treating a lower price as a like-for-like option. The vendor comparison guide covers that decision.
Step 3: Export only the rows you need
Choose Export rows to CSV. Farin downloads the current filtered table, including each vendor’s standardized price-per-unit column, as a dated CSV file.
If a vendor price needs to be changed from a receipt, use Review receipts and update vendor pricing. Ingredient Export is a read-and-download view; edits happen in the vendor pricing workflow.
Use the export as a review worksheet
Confirm prices at the source before acting
Use the CSV to sort and discuss purchasing options. Confirm pack size, unit, and current vendor terms in Farin before changing a vendor record or placing an order.
