Open Cash Flow & Debt Service to review posted book cash movement alongside operating profit and recorded loan payments for a period.
This report is for monitoring and investigation. Review the source ledger activity and your accounting reports before making a financing or operating decision.
Quick facts
Start here
- Cash movement is the change in posted bank-account ledger lines; it is not a forecast of future cash.
- Operating profit (NOI) is shown before loan debt service. Principal repayment is a cash outflow but not a P&L expense.
- Loan debt service is company-wide because loan records are corporate or unallocated. Location filters narrow cash and NOI while the debt table stays company-wide.
- Include corporate controls whether corporate activity is included in the cash and operating profit view.
- NOI coverage is operating profit divided by loan debt service; interpret it with the selected period and underlying transaction details.
Run the report for the period you need
Choose dates and location
Open Cash Flow & Debt Service, select the period, and choose a location or All locations. Turn Include corporate on or off based on whether the company-wide activity belongs in the cash and operating profit review.
Choose Run Report after changing the filters. If the report has no months, check the date range and whether posted cash activity exists for that period.
Read the summary measures
- Ending book cash shows the starting amount plus the net posted cash movement for the report period.
- Operating profit (NOI) is P&L profit before loan debt service.
- Loan debt service shows principal and interest separately. Principal reduces cash and loan balance but is not a P&L expense.
- NOI coverage divides operating profit by loan debt service. Read the status with the period details and loan schedule behind it.
- The Bottom line card summarizes NOI, debt service, coverage, and ending book cash; it is a prompt for review, not a replacement for the underlying reports.
